UPVC Frames

What We Do

Green Giant Recycling is dedicated to diverting all materials from landfill sites through our plastic waste recycling services. UPVC window frames, whether post-industrial or post-consumer, are frequently discarded when no longer needed. Our UPVC Recycling services aim to minimise the amount of plastic ending up in landfills.

By decreasing landfill-bound waste through UPVC window recycling, we assist businesses in cutting waste disposal costs. Additionally, for eligible cases, we provide a rebate when UPVC window frames are recycled.

The Process

Given the material’s characteristics and the necessary volumes to adequately offset transport expenses, we utilise articulated walking floors for collecting UPVC loads.

The process involves shredding white UPVC window frames to segregate metals from plastics through the use of magnets and eddy currents. The recycled metals are then transported to licensed scrap metal yards for additional processing.

The plastic remnants undergo grinding, mechanically reducing the particle size to less than 10mm in diameter. The resulting recycled regrind product can serve as a raw material for manufacturing new plastic products.

To ensure the quality of this waste stream, it must be free from glass and other non-conforming contaminants, including wood, hardcore, and general waste. Hence, all doors should have the form centres removed to achieve the strongest rebate available.
