We operate an Environment Agency-approved disposal site for various waste streams, accepting waste under the following EWC codes. Some popular transfer station waste disposal streams include:

General Mixed Waste (EWC Code 19-12-12)

Typically consists of mostly construction and demolition waste that has not undergone shredding or trommel processing.

Mixed Municipal Black Bag Waste (EWC Code 19-12-12 or 20-03-01)

Usually provided by local authorities from household grey bin collections, comprising a mixture of all wastes, including food waste, packaging, used nappies, etc.

Food Waste (EWC Code 19-12-12 or 20-03-01)

Primarily composed of biodegradable food waste, either fresh or semi-rotted. This waste may contain a small amount of plastic packaging depending on the processing facility.

Refuse Derived Fuels (EWC Code 19-12-10 or 19-12-12)

Commonly known as RDF, this stream is typically shredded to about 150mm and then trammelled to remove the smaller, heavier fraction.

Solid Recovered Fuels (EWC Code 19-12-10 or 19-12-12)

Often referred to as SRF, similar to RDF but meeting a more specific specification. It is usually shredded to a smaller size of around 30mm, with moisture content and calorific value within certain ranges.
